My first review is in from Publisher’s Weekly, which appeared in the January 19, 2009 issue, and I am very pleased. This is for my upcoming novel to be released by Harvest House Publishers in March, first of the three part Miller Family Series.
Favorite books: Little Women is my absolute favorite book. I own a 1905 edition that’s fifty percent longer than current editions. I also like Cold Mountain and Thirteen Moons by Charles Frazier, Killer Angels by Michael Shaara, and Gone With the Wind.
Hobbies/Activities I enjoy: Reading, shade gardening, hiking, bicycling, snorkeling (when I’m some place warm!) travel, attending church (my own, and while traveling), and attending local historical society meetings. I love American History.
One funny or interesting thing about me: I cannot walk through my heavily wooded yard without picking up fallen branches and tree limbs. I’m constantly building up piles to be hauled to the bonfire. My dog finds this behavior very odd. Needless to say, she will not fetch a stick. (more…)
